🥣 Description

A delicious and healthy swap for mashed potatoes — even perfect for those who don’t like chickpeas!
Chickpeas are a great complex carbohydrate, packed with fibre, protein, calcium, magnesium, folate, and B vitamins, without causing a blood sugar spike like white potatoes.


🧂 Ingredients

  • 400g can organic chickpeas, drained and rinsed thoroughly
    OR
  • 400g dried chickpeas, soaked overnight

Plus:

  • 1 clove fresh garlic
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 2 tbsp organic natural yoghurt

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Fresh herbs or spices of your choice
  • Avocado (for a creamier texture)
  • Dukkah (for extra crunch and flavour)

  1. If using dried chickpeas, boil them in water until soft.
  2. Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender.
  3. Blend until a smooth, creamy paste forms.
  4. Serve immediately — simple, quick, and nourishing!
