CAULIFLOWER PIZZA BASES

🌟 Description

These pizza bases are best made in advance and can be frozen for up to 3 months. Perfect for a healthy, gluten-free pizza night!


🧂 Ingredients

  • 4 cups cauliflower, steamed
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 4 eggs (free range if possible)
  • 1/3 cup avocado oil or coconut oil
  • Salt & pepper
  • Any herbs or spices of your choice (e.g., basil, oregano, garlic, rosemary, thyme, chilli)

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. 🔥 Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. 🥣 Place steamed cauliflower in a food processor and pulse until it resembles rice grains. You can also mash by hand in a large bowl.
  3. 🥄 Add remaining ingredients and mix into a smooth-ish batter.
  4. 📜 Line a flat or pizza tray with unbleached parchment paper.
  5. 🍕 Divide mixture into 4 portions. Shape each portion into a circle, about 0.5–1cm thick, on the parchment paper.
  6. ⏱ Cook for 15 minutes on one side (or until slightly golden).
  7. 🔄 Flip bases onto a second piece of parchment paper using a spatula. Cook the other side for 10 minutes or until slightly golden.
  8. ✅ Remove from oven and bases are ready to top with your favorite ingredients!
